The EastAfrican 54 APPOINTMENT NOVEMBER 15-21,2014 BI-LINGUAL RECEPTIONIST / TELEPHONE OPERATOR Established by African States with the financial support from the World Bank, the African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) is a multi-lateral development institution dedicated to providing insurance, co-insurance, reinsurance and other financial services to foster trade with and investments in its African Member States. ATI seeks to recruit a Bilingual Receptionist / Telephone Operator (RTO) from East African member states who will report to the Administrative and Procurement Officer. The duties of the RTO will include the following: To manage the ATI’s reception area and to ensure that the reception area is tidy and presentable; to assist the Administrative / Procurement Officer in coordinating driver movement, including the driver’s log sheets and vehicle utilization schedules; to receive and direct visitors and mail as appropriate; to effectively manage the switchboard by receiving, forwarding and making calls; to keep an accurate and up-to-date record of all official and personal calls made through the switchboard; to assist the Accountant with the reconciliation of telephone bills; to monitor and report on the performance of the switchboard system; and to perform any other duties that may be assigned.
