We seek to recruit dynamic, self driven and innovative professionals to fill the following position: REGIONAL HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER Position Summary This position involves managing employees of the organization to enhance performance that will enable the company achieve its goals and mission statement, and providing guidance to other departments in order to meet workforce requirements. He or she will provide expertise in designing, planning, and implementation of human resources programs and policies, including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, health and safety programs; compliance with all country employment laws, staff guidelines; provide day to-day support and guidance and mentorship in all aspects of Human resource management to staff in the Africa region; coordinating with local HR managers to implement procedures. The Regional HR manager position is of great responsibility and the job requires working more than 40 hours a week and travel at least 50% of the time Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Implementing company policies and guidelines and ensuring employee adherence to these mandates to optimize productivity and service delivery 2. 3. Planning and identifying methods that will enhance the employees and client relations in the workplace to support organizational growth Identifying and leading learning and skills development programs for the staff and management to enhance their productivity and performance. 4. Overseeing research for local market rates to assess its relationship to organizational compensation plans with aim of informing Director of HR and management 5. Participating in the development of policies regarding benefits and compensation of the staff that act as incentives for optimizing performance 6. Supporting talent acquisition initiatives and contributing to sourcing, interviewing, selecting and training and development programs. In collaboration with other key managers, he/she is responsible for hiring of local nationals to fill in vacant posts as may be required 7. Appraising local managers and initiating HR development programs 8. Overseeing compliance to occupational safety and local labor laws 9. Conducting surveys on employee work attitudes, wages and performance reports for decisions making 10. Accountability of developing, monitoring, and interpreting KPIs. 11. Developing and implementing HR elements for business travelers for each of the designated countries 12. Collaborating with partners or contracted entities for an extended period to develop polices , processes, procedures and handling employee relations issues when required 13. Represent AHF and manages relationships with staff unions where this is applicable 14. Participates in HR planning and supervision for all designated countries 15. Other duties may be assigned from time to time Education and/or Experience • • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent field with MBA with specialization in Human resources or MSC in Management with specialization in Human Resource Management or similar relevant level of education is a must. Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing HRs’. Experience working in a cross cultural team across borders an added advantage Core Competences • • • • • • • Ability to deal with numerical (ratios, rates, percentages, interpret graphs) Excellent communicator both oral and written in English; proficient with at least two spoken and written local languages; good interpersonal skills Ability to multitask provide guidance and direct the work of others Computer literate with extensive use of internet, Microsoft office, and use of presentation software. Should be analytical and able to deal with complex or diverse variables in making decision. Be a strategic thinker with demonstrated creativity and innovation Ability to work in a team. • Knowledge of the labour law within the Southern Africa region • Track record of rapidly establishing effective working relationships • Knowledgeable of patient population and issues surrounding HIV/AIDS; • • Willing to accept assignments requiring off-hour support as required Should be in possession of valid relevant educational certificates. We seek to recruit dynamic, self driven and innovative professionals to fill the following position: MARKETING MANAGER – CAMPAIGNS AND POLICY Position Summary This is a management position with a dual reporting to the Policy Advocacy Manager and Director of Global Marketing with professional accountabilities to stakeholders. The job holder is responsible for adapting existing, developing, establishing and maintaining new marketing campaigns and strategies aimed at improving access to HIV prevention, treatment and care in the East and West African countries of the AHF Africa Bureau. In addition the position holder will evaluate market conditions, identify key HIV/AIDS audiences, conduct patient research and implement changes in the Africa Bureau marketing plans. The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement the AHF Africa Bureau marketing strategy in collaboration with the Global Marketing Team and monitor its implementation. 2. In liaison with Medical Advocacy and Socio-Economic Empowerment Departments, develop, roll out and monitor marketing plans and branding to increase public awareness and influence attitudes and behaviours. 3. Coordinate roll out of country KPIs, M & E tools to measure impact of marketing plans. 4. Develop and rollout country protocols for marketing work during emergencies. 5. Develop common programme protocols that ensure integration marketing in programme design. 6. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans and opportunities for events and campaigns to advance AHF goals; and publicise organisational events and publications 7. Maintain and uphold AHF standard documentation and branding in line with global priorities to deepen AHF position and a ‘challenger brand’ in fighting AIDS. 8. Carry out audience mapping and ensure marketing is focused on communities AHF serves and harness collective action through participatory and interactive approaches. 9. Develop and grow digital media usage platforms such as website, twitter, face book etc 10. Identify significant media and public policy issues that can be leveraged to support AHF’s agenda; build, cultivate and manage external relations with the public, policymakers and influencers. 11. Contribute to strategic decision by participating in meetings with the Global Marketing Team, Middle Management and Bureau meetings; and communicating updates and decisions to audiences 12. Initiate and sustain strategic linkages with service providers and obtain cost effective products of right quality and standards. Education and/or Experience Our preferred candidate will possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business related fields with a minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in health campaign work and marketing. Skills and Competences • • • Proven track record in leading, developing and managing campaigns and marketing health programmes especially in HIV and AIDS at senior position. Sustained experience in popular mobilization and technical expertise on strategic and programme event management at national and international levels. Strong and highly developed skills for partnership development and management with ability to expand and grow partnerships. Must possess high level of people related and interpersonal skills with excellent ability to work with courteously and effectively with diverse communities and partners; navigate a complex, multistakeholder environment and diverse technologies. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent marketer specialist with demonstrated skills for positioning an organization as a “go-to” resource; proven track record in brand building with demonstrated success in executing effective branding initiatives.
