The EastAfrican ADVERTISEMENT APRIL 19-25,2014 39 CALL FOR CONSULTANTS FOR DEVELOPING SUSTIANABLE ENERGY PROGRAMME STRATEGY FOR WWF- MOZAMBIQUE COUNTRY OFFICE (MCO): 2. Specific tasks: WWF is one of the world’s largest independent and experienced Conservation organizations operating in over 100 Countries in the world. WWF East and Southern Africa Regional Programme Office (ESARPO) operates in Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania. WWF ESARPO is implementing a Regional Energy Strategy (2012-2015) with a 2050 vision for “A future powered by 100% renewable energy to meet all human development needs in East and Southern Africa in ways that ensure humans live in harmony with nature.” The WWF Regional Energy Hub is hosted by WWF Uganda Country Office. WWF ESARPO is seeking for experienced and talented professionals to develop a WWF MCO Country Office Sustainable Energy Programme Strategy that would clarify and define WWF’s engagement on sustainable energy issues in Mozambique. 1. Purpose of the Stock-taking study The aim of this consultancy is to develop a sustainable energy programme strategy for WWF MCO – which will contribute towards the MCO conservation strategy/business plan. The strategy will assist MCO to reflect and define its specific niche within sustainable energy space in Mozambique. There are six (6) major specific tasks for this stock-taking study; 1. Define the WWF MCO energy programme scope & vision 2. Situational analysis and stakeholder assessment 3. Determine WWF MCO sustainable energy action plan 4. Monitoring plan 5. Three (3) year operational plan 6. Link with WWF MCO strategic/business planning process. Suitable interested consultants must submit a technical and financial bid for a study.
